Actually, neither.
While communication is important, just as is resolving conflict, experience with thousands of couples taught me that the most important thing is respect. That means giving esteem and honor as well as demonstrating regard and consideration to each other. Most of the couples we see in our workshop for marriages in crisis, LovePath 911, offer little or no respect to each other (or at least one to the other). Healthy, happy couples do. ok this is wierd and believe me I know it! My grandmother just moved to my home state and town I never knew her growing up since I was adopted. I knew my birth mother briefly when I was 18 and now im 24 and married. I didnt much care for her and she told me lies about my adopted momma, so I didnt wanna know her! but they found out through their sources I have 2 children and my brother has 1 and other coming anythime now. They for some reason believe they have rights to our children! they left me a voicemail saying ” there is a thing called Grandparents” rights, we will see you in court very soon!” they wanted nothing to do with us growing up ( it was an open adoption with in the family) and now that they know this its like there punishing my brother, my mother and I….my husband is a police officer and told me not to worry but I cant help it …we are talking about my babies! can they have “grandparents right” even if she gave me up for adoption, and what about her mother…what are her rights!
